Giveaway software
Viral giveaway software
with an AI giveaway design
Set the prize, the dates and the entry actions, share the entry page, and draw the winner from your dashboard. Every entrant gets a referral link, duplicate entries are blocked, and the winner gets an email with a link to claim the prize.
How a giveaway runs in Liflio, step by step
No code and no plugin. The entry page is hosted for you.
- 01
Create it
Add one or more prizes, the start and end dates (30 days if you leave them blank) and the entry actions: follow an account, visit your site, subscribe, watch a video, or your own. Optionally require a secret code or limit entry to certain countries.
- 02
Share it
You get a hosted entry page and an embed code for your own site. Generate the AI visual if you want one (10 tokens) and post it with the share text to your connected channels in one step.
- 03
Collect entries
Entrants give their email, tick the actions they completed (self-declared, and the page tells them you may check), accept the terms and the data consent, and receive their referral link. Entries close at the end date.
- 04
Draw and deliver
Draw the winners from your dashboard. Each winner is emailed a claim link, gives a shipping address if the prize is physical, and you track their status. If a winner does not claim, revoke and redraw.
What the giveaway software does
Each point below is how the product works today, including what it leaves to you.
Referral bonus entries
Each entrant gets their own referral link. Every friend who enters through it adds two entries to the referrer's total, which is what makes sharing worth it.
AI giveaway design
Generate a 1080×1350 giveaway visual from your product photo and prize details, with a matching Instagram caption. Optional; it uses 10 tokens from your plan.
A random draw you trigger
When the giveaway ends, draw from your dashboard: a random draw where each entry counts once (using a cryptographic random number generator), or the entrants with the most entries. Choose how many winners each prize has.
Duplicate-entry checks
One entry per email address per giveaway, at most three per IP address, a device check and a rate limit on the entry form. Entrants receive a confirmation email.
Prize from your catalogue, claim by email
Pick the prize from your Liflio catalogue, including products imported from Shopify or WooCommerce. The winner gets a private claim link, valid for 14 days, and enters a shipping address for a physical prize. Revoke and redraw if nobody claims.
Consent, stated plainly
To enter, people accept the terms and consent to their data being processed for this giveaway. There is no marketing opt-in on the form, so entering does not put anyone on your mailing list. Deleting a giveaway deletes its entries, prizes and winners.
How to create a viral giveaway: what actually matters
Whichever tool you use. The software handles entries and the draw; these decisions decide whether anyone shares it. No giveaway is guaranteed to spread.
Pick a prize your customers want, not one everyone wants
A tablet attracts entrants who will never buy from you. One of your own best-sellers, a bundle or a shop voucher attracts people who already like what you sell — the audience you are actually trying to grow.
Make sharing the best entry action
The viral part is the referral. In Liflio a friend who enters through someone's link adds two entries to that person's total, while each ticked action adds one, so referring is already the strongest action. Say so on the entry page, or nobody bothers.
Keep it short, and give it an end date people can see
Seven to fourteen days is long enough for shares to add up and short enough to keep attention. Announce it on day one, remind people halfway through, and post a last call the day before the draw.
Publish your rules before you launch
State who can enter, the dates, the prize, how the winner is drawn and how entrants' data is used. Liflio's entry form links to Liflio's terms, not to your rules, so put yours in the giveaway description or link them from it.
In the EU, consent to marketing must be a separate, freely given choice and cannot be a condition of entry (GDPR Article 7(4) and Recital 43; EDPB Guidelines 05/2020 on consent). If you want to email entrants later, collect that consent separately. The rules guide below covers the wording.
Viral giveaway software — questions retailers ask
How is the winner picked?
You choose: a random draw in which each entry is one ticket (the base entry, plus one per ticked action and two per referred friend), or the entrants with the most entries. You trigger the draw from your dashboard; it does not run on its own at the end date. The random draw uses a cryptographic random number generator.
Are follows and shares verified?
No. Entry actions such as following an account are ticked by the entrant, and the entry page says they are self-declared and may be checked by the organiser. Check your winners before you announce them. Referral entries are counted automatically, because they come from the referral link.
How do referral entries work?
Every entrant gets a unique referral link. Each new entrant who comes through it adds two entries to the referrer. The new entrant still has to pass the same duplicate checks as anyone else.
Does the giveaway take care of GDPR for me?
It covers the mechanics, not your obligations. The entry form asks for consent to process the entrant's data for this giveaway, and deleting the giveaway deletes all its entries, prizes and winners. It does not write your rules, does not collect consent to marketing, and does not by itself make your giveaway compliant: you remain responsible for your rules and for how you use entrants' data. Under GDPR Article 7(4), marketing consent cannot be a condition of entry. Our EU giveaway rules guide explains what to publish.
Which plans include giveaways?
Every paid plan, from €29/month. Creating and running a giveaway uses no tokens; the optional AI visual uses 10.
Does it work with Shopify or WooCommerce?
You can pick the prize from your Liflio product catalogue, including products imported from Shopify or WooCommerce. The prize's name, value, description and image are copied when you pick it; Liflio does not write anything back to your store. The giveaway itself runs on its hosted page, which you can also embed on any website.
