Good Black Friday flyer text has four parts: a headline that names the offer, a short line under it, a body that gives the dates and conditions, and a call to action that says where to come. Below are real examples from our free flyer text tool, plus the details and price rules to add before you print.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This guide is for shop owners who need words for a Black Friday flyer this week, not a design course. Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November 2026, and many shops run the offer through the weekend to Cyber Monday on 30 November. Every example below was produced by running the template code behind our free flyer text generator on 9 October 2026. The shop names are made up.
Key takeaways
- Put the offer in the headline. Put the dates, conditions and your address in smaller text below.
- The examples here are real tool output for three made-up shops: a hardware store, a bakery and a fashion boutique.
- Keep the offer you type short. The tool prints it exactly as written, in every line.
- A crossed-out "was" price must be a real former price. In France it must be your lowest price of the last 30 days.
- Hand flyers out about a week before Black Friday, so 17 to 20 November 2026 works.
What should a Black Friday flyer say?
A Black Friday flyer should say what the offer is, when it runs, what the conditions are, and where to find you. Everything else is decoration. Readers glance at a flyer for a few seconds, so the offer has to be the biggest thing on the page.
Print specialist Overnight Prints gives the same order in its 2026 Black Friday guide: lead with a bold, specific discount, add the location, the time and a QR code, keep the text short, and end with a clear call to action.
Here is what each part does, and which part of the free tool fills it.
How we made these flyer text examples
We ran the template code behind the flyer text generator for three made-up shops. The tool takes a shop name, the offer you type and a tone: professional, friendly, urgent, playful or luxury. It then fills fixed templates with your words. It does not invent prices, dates or claims, so what you type is exactly what you get.
Each tone has three versions of every line. We picked one per line and quote it exactly as the tool printed it.
Example 1: a hardware store (professional and urgent)
Professional tone
Headline: Corner Hardware Presents: 20% off power tools this Black Friday
Subheadline: Ask our team in store for the details.
Body: 20% off power tools this Black Friday, at Corner Hardware. Come in and our team will walk you through the details.
Call to action: See it in store at Corner Hardware.
Urgent tone
Headline: Now On at Corner Hardware: 20% off power tools this Black Friday!
Subheadline: Make a note and come in.
Body: Heads up: 20% off power tools this Black Friday at Corner Hardware. Check the dates in store and don't miss it.
Call to action: Come to Corner Hardware today!
Urgent copy is fine when the deadline is real. Do not print "ends today" on a flyer that people will read on Saturday, and never claim an offer is ending when it is not. In the UK, falsely saying an offer is only available for a limited time is one of the practices banned in all circumstances under the 2024 consumer law.
Example 2: a bakery (friendly and playful)
Friendly tone
Headline: Good News from The Little Bakery: a free loaf with every two on Black Friday!
Subheadline: Stop by and have a look.
Body: Hey neighbour! The Little Bakery has a free loaf with every two on Black Friday. Swing by, bring a friend, and have a look.
Call to action: See you soon at The Little Bakery!
Playful tone
Headline: Ready, Set, Shop: a free loaf with every two on Black Friday!
Subheadline: Your shopping list just got longer.
Body: Breaking news from The Little Bakery: a free loaf with every two on Black Friday. Pop in, look around and have fun.
Call to action: Treat yourself at The Little Bakery!
One lesson from this run: we typed the offer in lower case, so the professional headline "a free loaf with every two on Black Friday at The Little Bakery" starts with a small letter. If your offer will open a line, type it with a capital.
Example 3: a fashion boutique (luxury and professional)
Luxury tone
Headline: An Invitation from Ama Fashion: 15% off all dresses, Black Friday weekend
Subheadline: Take your time and see it in store.
Body: Ama Fashion invites you to discover 15% off all dresses, Black Friday weekend. We look forward to welcoming you.
Call to action: Step into Ama Fashion.
Professional tone
Headline: Now at Ama Fashion: 15% off all dresses, Black Friday weekend
Subheadline: Find all the details at Ama Fashion.
Body: At Ama Fashion: 15% off all dresses, Black Friday weekend. All the details are available in store.
Call to action: Find us at Ama Fashion for the details.
Not every version works for every offer. The luxury template "The Art of {offer}" gave "The Art of 15% off all dresses, Black Friday weekend", which reads oddly. That is why the tool gives you several versions: read them aloud and keep the one that sounds like your shop.
Turn the flyer into a sign, a post and an email
The same offer usually needs a window sign, a social post and an email. Our free sale announcement generator writes all three from a shop name, a sale type, the discount and the dates. Here is its real output for Corner Hardware, with "Flash Sale" as the sale type and the dates Friday 27 to Monday 30 November.
Window sign

What to add before you print: 6 steps
The tool writes the words. These six steps turn them into a flyer you can hand out.
- Add the exact dates and times. "Friday 27 to Monday 30 November 2026, 9am to 7pm" beats "this weekend". People keep flyers for days.
- Write the conditions in plain words. Which products, which sizes, in store or online too, and any exclusions such as gift cards.
- Check your price line against the rules where you trade. See the table below. If in doubt, show only the discount and leave out the crossed-out price.
- Add your address, opening hours and a way to reach you. A phone number, your website or a QR code that opens your offer page.
- Pick one version of each line and read it aloud. Cut anything that sounds odd, like our "The Art of" headline.
- Print and hand out about a week ahead. Overnight Prints suggests 7 to 10 days before Black Friday, which means 17 to 20 November 2026.
Price and wording rules by market
Discount wording is where small shops get into trouble. Here is what we checked for the four markets Liflio serves, as of 9 October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice.
The tool cannot check any of this for you. It does not know your past prices, so the price line is always your job.
Common Black Friday flyer mistakes
- An offer that is too long. Whatever you type appears in several lines. "20% off power tools" works. A full sentence with dates does not.
- A fake countdown. "Last chance" on day one misleads people, and in the UK it is banned.
- An inflated "was" price. If the old price was never really charged, the bargain is not real. The US and French rules say so in plain terms.
- Calling it "soldes" in France. The word is reserved for the two legal sale periods. "Black Friday" is fine.

FAQ
What should I write on a Black Friday flyer?
Write the offer as the headline, then the exact dates and times, the conditions, and your address and opening hours. Add a short call to action such as "See you Friday". If you show a crossed-out price, make sure it was a real recent price. Keep it short enough to read in a few seconds.
How do I make a Black Friday flyer stand out?
Make one specific offer the biggest thing on the page, such as "20% off power tools", rather than a vague "big savings". Use high contrast, very few words and a clear date. Write in your own shop's voice, and add a reason to bring the flyer in, like a small extra gift at the till.
When should I hand out Black Friday flyers?
About a week before. Overnight Prints suggests 7 to 10 days ahead, which for Black Friday on 27 November 2026 means 17 to 20 November. Put a window sign up a few days before too, and keep a stack at the till for regular customers during the weekend.
Can I put a crossed-out "was" price on my Black Friday flyer?
Yes, if it is true. In France it must be your lowest price of the previous 30 days. In the US it must be a real price offered for a reasonable period; in the UK a misleading "was" price is unfair. If unsure, show only the percentage off.
Is there a free Black Friday flyer text generator?
Yes. Liflio's flyer text generator is free and needs no account. You type your shop name and offer, pick a tone, and it writes a headline, subheadline, body and call to action. It fills fixed templates with your words, so check dates, conditions and prices yourself before printing.
